Rocky Horror Picture Show Night!
On the crisp night of October 29, Mandi and I went to see The Rocky Horror Show being performed by our local community theatre.
The air was just beginning to turn when we arrived downtown. The sun had just gone down so that all the lights shined bright against the growing darkness.
Once inside, the attendants took our tickets and showed us to our seats. There were so many people dressed in clothes I never would've imagine seeing. Styles I liked, but thought I was the only one who wore in my city. Most notably was a girl in a dress I immediately recognized from Modcloth.
We had some great food (we split the cheesecake because it was WAY too sweet for us to eat on our own, and we split my cheese pizza 'cause I never finish my food!) And had a blast looking at everyone in their costumes. I had no idea people were dressed up for the costume contest later in the night!
We weren't allowed to take pictures or video during the performance so unfortunately I didn't get any of the actual show. But it BB really great. We've gone here to see plays and musicals before and we literally have never been disappointed. Personally, I can't wait to see if they do RENT again!
I always have a lot of fun hanging out with Mandi, and I'm so glad we have this stuff in common. We were both laughing and quietly singing along to the songs. We were so disappointed that we both had seen Rocky Horror Picture Show before, because the emcee was giving out “virgin” stickers to people who had no idea what they were about to see!
We got bags of “interactive” props, and even though we were supposed to throw a lot of it I kept mine and am going to put them in a shadow box with the playbill!
