Mail Moogle Monday!
Hello there Magical Creatures!
Welcome to the first Mail Moogle Monday!
This is something I’ve wanted to do for a while now and have short of been putting it off because I’ve been so busy with school and work that by the time I sit down to make blog posts, I’m exhausted! But today I wanted to share with you guys a package I got from the wonderful and lovely Alta Eileen (check her out here!).
Now before we get into opening up the mail, I wanted to take a brief moment to tell you guys why I picked the Mail Moogle for this fan mail series. The answer may actually not surprise you that much at all:
I love Final Fantasy.
Compared to the other people in my life who love Final Fantasy, I’m a bit of a newbie. However, I find myself falling more and more in love with it each time I play another game and think it’s fair to say now that it’s become one of my favorite franchises. The Mail Moogle on Final Fantasy: A Realm Reborn is the perfect little mascot for our fan mail series!
Also the string of M’s worked, like aesthetically.
ANYWAY.
As you may or may not know, I’m a huge Animal Crossing fan. I’ve been playing it since the ye old days of the Gamecube and am obsessed with any and all things Animal Crossing. Alta Eileen, being the awesome person that she is and having followed me on Instagram since forever, knew this and sent me what I think might be one of my favorite additions to my Animal Crossing collection!
A Tiny Wolfgang and a Tiny Flick!
Originally she asked if I wanted them as earrings, but I thought (and still think, after having held them in my hands after opening) that they might be too heavy to wear comfortably as earrings. Instead, she sent them to me with the tiny straps so I could add them to my Animal Crossing Ita Bag!
In case there’s anyone out there who doesn’t know: Ita bags are a (now I think outdated?) trend in Japan where you get some kind of bag that has a panel in front behind a clear little plastic window and in that panel you can put just stuff. “Ita” is supposed to mean, like, gross and basically something thats just a lot. A People used them to rep their fandoms or to just have a way to carry their favorite things around. I love the trend because it allows me to carry the stuff I love from a specific fandom without the nagging fear that it’s going to pop off and get lost while I’m out and about in the world.
Wolfgang and Flick make a perfect addition to my bags because they are A) a new kind of merchandise that I don’t already have in the bag, and B ) SUPER ADORABLE.
I love Flick, I do, but I was most excited for Wolfgang. Ever since the Gamecube, Wolfgang has been the one villager I always have to have in my villages. In the Animal Crossing fandom, I suppose you could call him my Animal Crossing Husband. I’m beyond ecstatic to have my number one favorite villager now living in my ita bag! When I opened the box and saw him I nearly cried!
Flick is absolutely perfect and adorable! The detail on him is impeccable and he looks exactly like he does in the game, right down to the design on his t-shirt!
The figures are made out of a really nice feeling kind of felt stuff (I think its felt?) and while they do have some heft to them, they’re not so heavy that they won’t work for my bag. I’m so excited to get them put in with all my other Animal Crossing merch!
Thank you so much to Alta Eileen for my new favorite additions to my ita bag! 💜 I’m going to be doing another post soon of putting them into the bag and showing it off a little (because, c’mon, I can’t not show it off!)
Thank you so much for reading my post, and I’ll see you guys in the next one!
Until then, stay magical! 💜
